Bio

"Every now and then an artist comes right out of the gate with a transcendent work, one that has obviously been stirring in their souls for a lifetime, finally released. Such is the case with John Ebdon’s remarkable debut work, Dawn Hunter," Dennis Welch, President & CEO of Articulate.

"John Ebdon's DAWN HUNTER breaks all the rules and boundaries of what Contemporary Christian Music is typically known to present to the masses. With his refreshing use of orchestral elements, gritty vocals and visual lyrics composed over a wide array of tempos, feels and grooves , this collection of music is a modern day's Book of Psalms, to be listened to, danced to, and prayed with, filling the ears and heart with a testament of praise, lamentation and love. If there were a genre known as "music for a prayer labyrinth", this might be it." Connie Mims Pinkerton / "Wheatfield"

Welch writes, "Musically, Ebdon is hard to describe, and that is the highest compliment I could ever pay a fellow singer/songwriter. It has hints of Dave Matthews and a sprinkling of Sting in his post-Police creative years. It fuses styles and creates something brand new."

GUIDES ~ is Ebdon's sophomore album, released on September 19th, 2020, for Mattaniah Studios. This is a singer/songwriter's look into where the songs live in their natural habitat. Eleven songs, all stripped down recordings of "just the song," as he puts it.  "It's where the songs live before the adding of other instruments or fancy production."

Ebdon has just released his third major album, “HOME TO STAY." This production is a broad tapestry of song-scapes, bold in sonic texture. This is his second fully produced collection of thematic stories surrounded by some of the most amazing musicians playing today, including Phil Madiera and Phil Keaggy.
